TLCPak is a shareware program which may serve as a front-end to PKZip or be used as a stand-alone compression routine. Two compression routines are included. One routine is optimized for time and the other for size. You should have the following files: 1. TLCPak.EXE 2. TLCPak1C.DLL 3. TLCPres1.DLL -- used only with TLCSpeed and TLCSize compression options 4. TLCPak10.HLP 5. PKALL.PIF -- used only with PKZip 6. Pk386.PIF -- used only with PKZip in enhanced mode 7. Read-Pak.TXT -- this file 8. Reg-Pak.Txt -- registration form for this shareware 8. SetUpPak.bat -- installation program 9. Update.Doc -- contains changes to documentation and included only on disks shipped after registration. 10. VBRun100.DLL -- a Microsoft Runtime library - ship with some vendor disks and all disks received from Software Engineering and Fabrication. Also available on most BBS's that carry shareware. Execute SetUpPak with three parameters:source dir, dest dir, and system dir. For example, Type: SetUpPak.bat a: c:\utility c:\windows\system to setup the program on c:\utility from drive A: with a windows system directory at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM. Note: none of the paths have a trailing slash (\). This program requires VBRun100.DLL, a Microsoft Visual BASIC DLL. This DLL is available on most bulletin boards that carry shareware. It is also included with the program,TLCFnd, from Software Engineering and Fabrication. TLCFnd is used to find a file or specific text in a file. The files to be included in the search may use wildcards and the text to be found may use ANDS and ORS. The file text may be read from inside TLCFnd. Registration schedule is the same as TLCPak. You may now launch the program from the main window of Windows by pressing ALT FR to execute the File|Run menu. The menu will request the name of the program that you want to run. When it does, enter TLCPAK. For more convenience you may want to add the item to you launch window.
